GIS Technical Support Specialist
We are currently seeking a GIS Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Bedford, MA. This position will provide technical assistance via telephone, internet and email as well as in-person training to end users of our desktop and web-based mapping applications. The position also requires software testing and QA, maintenance of various support databases and web pages, writing and debugging of installation scripts and data analysis.
The ideal candidate will be well rounded and technically oriented with a solid knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system, good deductive reasoning skills and a desire to learn. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, GIS/Mapping software, database applications and statistical software is a plus. Strong writing and communication skills are essential. Limited travel to client sites is required to perform job duties. B.A. degree or one to two years related experience or training is preferred but not required.
